The Schillinger Insurance tradition first began in 1947 when Hubert J. Schillinger started his own Life Insurance Agency out of his home on Main Street in Port Sanilac, Michigan. In 1964, The Hubert J. Schillinger Insurance Agency finally relocated to a newly constructed office building at 30 N. Ridge Street in downtown Port Sanilac. At that time both Hubert and his wife of 15 years, Gloria, were the only licensed agents.
